Teamwork and Teammates' Feedback Analysis

Receiving feedback from my peers and analyzing it, has been very helpful for me to develop my skills in a team setting, and as a leader.

In my four course projects, through the Team Effectiveness Learning System (TELS) website, I have received anonymous feedback from my teammates saying that I am accountable, always happy to help, supportive. Also that I direct the team at times of crisis and plan to organize workflow. In the first round of peer reviews for my second project I was told to be more open to receiving others' opinions and ask each member what they think and make them feel included. So, I searched for strategies online to help me achieve that goal. Strategies such as actively reminding myself to ask people what they think, confirm every decision before finalizing it, appreciating others' opinions and suggesting a different approach if I disagree, asking if my shared opinion makes sense and if there are any questions or suggestions. These strategies have helped me encourage my team members to engage in more fruitful group discussions and this was reflected in the second round of peer reviews I received from that team and other teams after that. Below you can see the pie charts from my second project and from my latest project. Receiving feedback from my peers and analyzing it, has been very helpful for me to develop my skills in a team setting, and as a leader. It has made me realize that working in a small team environment where I get to know people on a deeper level and learn what they expect of me, is ideal for me.
