Machining Swan-necks Inserts
Swan-neck chassis inserts made using a lathe.
Swan-neck chassis inserts are used to mount the rear wing of the UT22 car on the chassis. These parts were machined in the university of Toronto student machine shop by me. I used a lathe to make them out of aluminum based on the drawing made by my teammate.
